The New Bedford Whaling Museum logo is a beautiful, and highly appropriate, logo design by Malcolm Grear Designers. The whole shape and flow of that mark oozes perfection, class and style.

This logo tells a very clear story in which one could almost imagine themselves on one of these whaling vessels.

But have you really noticed, and appreciated the angle of the sail? It’s not dead front on, but instead slightly angled which creates this sense of these massive sails catching the wind and powering on through those rough seas. Each horizontal sail is bulging out to the front, and you just know this ship is moving fast.

The manor in which they have incorporate that whale tail is just sublime.

It’s these details that make a good logo: a remarkable logo.
