I personally, man, I want to build things. I’m 30. I’m not ready to be an industry pundit. I got three offers to be a professor during this summer, and I told all of the universities that I thought I would be an awful professor. What I’m best at doing is finding a group of talented people and making things with them. I respect the direction that Apple is going in.
But for me personally, you know, I want to make things. And if there’s no place for me to make things there, then I’ll do what I did twice before. I’ll make my own place. You know, I did it in the garage when Apple started, and I did it in the metaphorical garage when Mac started.

Looking out for this to become available in this neck of the woods. Although looking at the complete kit, it looks a proverbial nightmare to install. Not sure I have the patience for that but then again it is so bloody cool.
I doubt very much it’s any kind of toughened glass, so you would certainly want to get a protective film for front and back at the very least.

Not content on changing production methods, Apple will also replace the standard screws with the Pentababulator variety if you take your iPhone into an Apple store for repair. Totally not cricket.
ifixit has already come up with the iPhone 4 Liberation Kit, you can now cast aside the Pentababulator method of screwing with Mr Phillips.

I positively feel for this guy and I’m not even an app designer. Where I can sympahise, is with a few years of selling full time on eBay and Amazon. The hurtful and shitty comments that some people give for no reason other than they are just incapable of decent communication astounds me. It would bring you down so easy, ever fearful of some undeserved comment or rating, or worse, the blackmail variety of customer. Holding you ransom over your valuable ebay rating.
You only need to read review after app review to see the sort of comments that David is talking about. Incessent bitching because an app isn’t free, or doesn’t read your mind. The best ones are where they downloaded the app without even reading if it is compatible, yet they somehow manage to blame the developer.
Feel for you David, I really really do. If it’s any consolation, I loved both versions of Chopper and have them installed on both iPhone and iPad. Keep it up son…
