The colourful and decent logo for the Rio 2016 Olympics has been branded as a copy of the Telluride Foundation logo. There is similarity but to say it was plagiarized is a little over the top. I say the charge is utter poppycock.
You just need to know when to draw the line when comparing ‘similar’ logos.

My first impression was that it looked similar to the Brazilian 2014 WorldCup logo. Not the same, but it just reminded me of it, the general shape, look and feel. Swap the dancing people for hands etc.
GIven the location and timing of both events I wonder if this was deliberate, to create some kind of brand fusion.
In any case, it’s a more polished logo than the World Cup logo which has been somewhat slated. Found on UnderConsideration (the link gives a 404 right now).
