The Rock’n’roll Metro Map™ is a self-initiated project based on the idea of representing the various genres of rock’n’roll music as the lines of a subway system.

Including more than 200 bands, the map is just a personal vision of the music history of the past decades and not a real visualization of it, that’s because the number of artists and influences are impossible to be visualized in a 100% objective way

I first went on to create an interlocking diagram to pin-point the stages I usually go through on a given time period. Later, a symbology around it was designed to create a connection with the different stages performed in the act of solving the initial design problem.”

Now this is what I call a infographic: The Internet of Things is just so visually appealing and not child-like in creation. You can tell this was designed with skill and passion. It also has a number of supporting materials: tables, fact sheets etc.

I have tried not to get carried away with the creative frenzy surrounding the truly awful events that happened that fateful Friday: this infographic however I feel is productive and useful.

I have not agreed with the sudden splurge of Japan related posters, seems an awful waste of time and resources, it’s not like we were ever short of awareness of the disaster.
