Found this off the back of a Mashable post about the recent viral AT&T BlackBerry advertisement. A land so far far away where people say exactly what they mean.

Challenge: Create an image out of a word, using only the letters in the word itself.

Ji Lee, former Creative Director of Google, has created this clever movie based on a book called Word as Image.

Came across this just after the tragic news of Steve’s passing, so felt a little too soon to be posting anything remotely humorous even if it’s all in good spirits.

What the fuck has Jon Ive been doing for the last two year? Fingerpainting with his poo?

This had me in stitches and is one of the funniest Hilter memes I have seen for a while. I for one am very happy the iPhone 4 is sticking around; I just love that design.

5:46 am from ArtefactoryLab on Vimeo.

A slightly chilling find by Doobybrain, via Neatorama, of a video showing what the 1910 Great Flood of Paris would look like. All the water is CGI which is just outstanding.

This has totally blown me away I never knew Dolphins Hump Back Whales could do this. The Dolphins are not just forming the Toroidal Vortices, but actually playing and interacting with them.

Mind numbingly beautiful.

Racing a car without any structural supports to protect the body or head seems incomprehensible. Yet these men in their–at times, flying machines–race cars would regularly put their life on the line, and it was a thin thin line.

Even more incomprehensible that some of these drivers actually walked away after being tossed up in the air, run over, thrown into the path of another car. Many didn’t and I think what you see in this video are a fair few that didn’t make it.

So don’t watch if you are easily upset by these things. But it is a good watch, it not just to see how utterly mad we were back in the time.

As I said on Twitter on Friday, this has to be the first time I have ever felt so sad and deeply affected by what the Japanese have had to endure the last few days. It really is just beyond imagining, even when you have such graphic videos as this, it still doesn’t seem possible.

Aa startling and stomach-churning video of the Japanese Tsunami, definitely one of the more gut wrenching first-person videos to come out.
