Admissions

Unlike the first incarnation of The Logo Clinic which was hosted on Tumblr, there is no direct way to submit your logo query. Until such time I can afford a specific theme to be built, submissions will be conducted by email.

Step One

The first thing you must do is create a main image, this must show the logo design you are seeking consultation on. Images up to 500px are allowed and should be saved as JPG. Main image files submitted as vector will be ignored.

Ideally create a neutral background, as seen above, for the logo design to be viewed on. If colour is a part of your query, then of course a colour background may be important.

Step 2

Once you have your main image, you need to write an adequate representation of the logo brief, without this we cannot view the logo in context. The more in depth your query, the more detailed your description should be.

Explain the sort of problem or challenge you are experiencing. If you are looking for some help in determine one design from several, then you can supply these as supporting images. Ensure they are clearly labeled and adequate description in your submission sheet so I can tell what is what.

Step 3

Clearly state what sort of help and advice you are looking for. These will be used as tags in the post, so use any of the following :

Typography, Font Choice, Colour Selection, Layout, Proportions, Spacing, Freelancing, Production,

Step 4

Once you have your images prepared and named, have your submission sheet adequately filled out with appropriate context and information, bundle it all in an email.

The subject of the email will form the title of the submission post, so a naming structure such as this is advised : ‘Logo Name’ – ‘Twitter ID’

So for example, using the image above, the subject and post title would be : My Modern Met Logo Design – @imjustcreative

Step 5

Email to : imjustcreative@gmail.com

I will review the submission, if all is good, I will then post it on here and Tweet it out to the The Logo Clinic associates.

Some Limitations

As The Logo Clinic is run by just me, Graham Smith, I do have certain time and personal resource limitations. I will try my  best to post each submission, but there will be times when some will just have to fall by the way-side.

When an admission goes live, I will broadcast this out to Twitter and Facebook. I cannot guarantee that an associate will be immediately free to help you with you problem.

The Bypass Approach

Desperate for some help, or don’t want to risk spending ages filling in a form incase you are not see? Email me first with a quick query, or try and catch me on Twitter. If I feel it’s something The Logo Clinic can help with, then you can go back and put some effort into your admission.
