Fender Logo Design by [someone unknown]
Seems only fitting that after posting the Marshall logo that we keep with musical brands with the legendary Fender logo.
Just like the Marshall logo, there is actually very little about the Fender logo on the web especially when compared to other, and less legendary brand logos. Seems some grab and keep the spotlight whilst others like Marshall and Fender just get sporadic and brief mentions.
I do find this quite surprising, the apparent lack of blog coverage, given how much both Fender and Marshall have shaped music and our culture throughout the last 40 decades. And lets not forget just how cool these logos!
It’s been said that the original Fender logo was based on Leo Fender’s signature where the ‘F’ was simply vertically flipped giving us that lovely, and somewhat iconic, initial.
Over on my main website I have whipped up a quick post: Fender Logo Design Evolution that gives you a potted history of the 3 main types of Fender logo used through out it’s colourful history.
